The Santa Clara County Coroner’s office confirmed the names of the Westacres Drive couple but said it will not have autopsy reports available for up to eight more weeks.
Public records show that Gary Longdon was an administrator at Hewlett-Packard. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was also an information technology consultant. Susan Longdon was a mortgage broker.

Susan Longdon filed for divorce from her husband on Jan. 21. The couple scheduled a “case management” conference for July 21 to discuss the proceedings, as well as finances.
The couple had two grown sons, at least one who lived nearby.

Authorities have ruled out involvement of a third party in the case but are also not calling it either a murder-suicide or suicide-suicide. No further details of the couple’s deaths are available, as an investigation is pending, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza, Santa Clara County Sheriff's spokesman.
