Help the Moore Family Find a Home

The family that lost their home to a Monday morning blaze needs a new home near Lincoln Elementary School.

For those who want to contribute to the Moore family, who lost their home on Rose Blossom Drive and all their belongings to a Monday morning blaze, here’s the latest from Susanne Millar who is coordinating the community support efforts.

Donations can now be made online at the MooreFamilyHelp website, set up by Susanne Millar, that will go directly to the Moore’s bank account at Wells Fargo Bank.

High on the list of things the family needs is a new home, preferably in a neighborhood convenient to Lincoln Elementary School where two of the children attend school.

Millar learned that the two older children--the Moores have four children ages 1 to 10--can “really use the following”:

  • Girls (size 10) pants, jeans, khakis, capris
  • Boys (size 12-14) jeans, pants, shorts, shirts, sweatshirts

Also still needed are gift cards to the following stores:

The community has come through in overwhelming fashion with infant and toddler sizes—“they are so grateful for all the donations that have come in,” says Millar—that they are set in the infant and toddler clothing department.

A fire that started in the garage of the Moore's home Monday morning destroyed the home and two cars parked in the driveway. The family was not at home at the time the fire broke out, Lydia Moore was walking her children to school at the time and her husband, Kevin, was on his way to work.
