Multiple 911 calls reported hearing a loud “crash type noise” at about 4:30 a.m., in the Prospect and Stelling roads area. When Sheriff’s deputies arrived they found one car described as a blue BMW 3 series underneath a dark grey Toyota Corolla, which had busted through the side of the house at 20900 Prospect Rd.
The noise of the crash—which sent a boulder from the front of the house at 20902 Prospect Rd. into the garage door and on into the garage—woke up Penny Hall who lives across the street and down a few doors.
Patch reader David Fung captured photos of the helicopter that circled the area just after the crash, as well as photos of the damage done to both houses.
Investigators believe Chang and Song had been under the influence of alcohol and were street racing at the time of the crash. Evidence collected indicates they were traveling at speeds in excess of 80 mph. There is a stop sign at the corner of Prospect and Stelling roads, and the first house hit is just yards from that stop sign.
