UPDATE: Apparent Suicide Victim Was 24-Year-Old Hispanic Male

Officials are not yet releasing the name of Tuesday's apparent suicide victim until next of kin has been contacted.

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. April 5; the apparent suicide victim's identity is known but officials are not releasing his name until family has been notified. Capt. Ken Binder of Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department said the victim was a 24-year-old Hispanic male.

The afternoon has been identified, but officials are not releasing his name or any other details until his family has been notified, the County Medical Examiner’s office said Thursday.

The young adult male, believed to be a suicide victim, was found hanging from a tree above Stevens Creek with wire wrapped around his neck and a covering over his face. A jacket and other clothing were found nearby but it is unknown if the items belonged to the victim, police said.
