New Gang Task Force Arrests 13 in Mountain View and Sunnyvale

Arrests for a variety of violations, including weapons and narcotics.

Sixty-two officers representing the newly formed North Santa Clara County Gang Task Force conducted their inaugural operation to curtail gang violence in northern Santa Clara County on Friday, making 13 arrests in Sunnyvale and Mountain View, according to Mountain View police.

The new task force conducted a series of probation and parole searches that led to 13 arrests relating to possession of deadly weapons, possession for sale of narcotics, probation violations, and parole holds, police said.

The North Santa Clara County Gang Task Force was created with the intention of enabling officers from 10 participating agencies to jointly address gang violence.
