Scarce parking in and around Homestead High School on Thursday afternoon—graduation day—earned some a parking ticket on Homestead Road.

The parking lot was full and surrounding side streets were lined with the cars of family and friends of Homestead High School's graduating Class of 2012 on Thursday afternoon. Several people who parked on Homestead Road's Sunnyvale side may not have noticed the parking limitations signs before they headed to the graduation ceremonies at the school's sports field.

Sunnyvale police knew the signs were there and handed out a bunch of parking tickets.
