Seven Youths Found in Stolen Car in Sunnyvale
The juveniles were believed to have stolen the car from Lakehaven Drive at 7:30 a.m. and were apprehended by Sunnyvale police and CHP at 11:46 a.m.
Five juveniles were arrested Monday morning after they were pulled over in a car stolen from a Sunnyvale neighborhood earlier, a police spokesman said.
All together, seven minors were in the car, and two were released to their parents, Capt. Dave Pitts of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said Tuesday.

Sunnyvale officers assisted the California Highway Patrol after the CHP notified them that they were following a stolen vehicle through the city. At 11:46 a.m., the car was stopped at South Wolfe Road and East Fremont Avenue and seven youths inside the car were taken into custody, Pitts said.
The car had been stolen from the 700 block of Lakehaven Drive in Sunnyvale—about five miles away—around 7:30 a.m., Pitts said.

No injuries were reported, Pitts said. The youths were from Sunnyvale and San Jose, Pitts said.
