Sheriff's Arrests: Drug Possession and DUIs

A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department's arrest and booking report for April 26, 27 and 28 and 29, 2012. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Possession

  • Morgan Rees, 26, of San Jose, 12:15 a.m., at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Saich Way in Cupertino, for two felonies related to re-arrest, probation violation and possession of controlled substance and three misdemeanors related to possession of hypodermic needle/syringe without a prescription, use/under the influence and possession of burglary tools.
  • Mikhail Reyes, 20, of San Jose, 2:15 p.m. at Mary and Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, for two felonies related to possession of concentrated cannabis and possession of a controlled substance. Bail set at $15,000.
  • Leon Wilkins, 53, a transient from San Jose, 1:15 a.m., at Bascom Avenue and Campisi Way in Campbell, for one felony possession of narcotics/controlled substance and five misdemeanors related to battery on a peace officer, emergency personnel, willfully failing to re-register as a transient, resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer and battery on specified person.
  • Daniel Song, 26, of Cupertino, 10:20 a.m., at 6522 Clifford Dr. in Cupertino, for four felonies related to making/possession of counterfeit plates, making/possession of fictitious check and possession of controlled substance and five misdemeanors related to possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance, using/being under the influence of controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
  • Tammy Arbini, 33, of Milpitas, 8:15 p.m., at Bascom Avenue and Borello in San Jose, for one misdemeanor warrant related to use/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $25,000.
  • Joseph Bly, 25, of San Jose, 1:15 a.m., at Union and Campbell avenues in Campbell, for misdemeanor possession of Mecloqualone/Methaqualone. 
  • Porfirio Sandoval, 64, of Gilroy, 4:20 a.m., at Church and First streets in Gilroy, for two felonies related to possession of marijuana/hash for sale and possession for sale or purchase. Bail set at $60,000.

DUI

  • Qing Chen, 23, of Campbell, 2:44 a.m., at Homestead Road and Franco in Cupertino, for two misdemeanors related to driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Ines Vente, 49, of Santa Clara, 12:18 a.m., at Highway 85 at Fremont in Cupertino, for two misdemeanors related to driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Jaime Alvardo, 32, of Morgan Hill, 9:38 p.m., at Monterey Road and Main Street in Morgan Hill, for two misdemeanors related to driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Michael Anderson, 35, of Gilroy, 10:51 pm., at 1st Street and Wren in Gilroy, for two misdemeanors related to driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. Bail set at $5,000.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Tony Powell, 25, of Sunnyvale, 7:25 p.m., at De Anza Boulevard and Kirwin Lane in Cupertino, for three citations related to not wearing seat belt, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle and driving with privileges suspended or revoked, which is a misdemeanor.
  • Miguel Villalobos, 30, of San Jose, 4:25 p.m., at Foothill and Homestead roads in Cupertino, for two misdemeanor citations related to driving with privileges suspended/revoked and driving with a suspended license.
  • Josh Gardner, 26, of Campbell, 11:30 p.m., at Race Street and Meridian Avenue in San Jose, for failing to provide financial responsibility for vehicle, expired registration and driving with privileges suspended or revoked. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Jose Luis Sanchez, 38, of Sunnyvale, at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 West Younger Ave. in San Jose, for one misdemeanor related to driving with a suspended licence and two infractions related to using wireless telephone device while driving and failing to provide financial responsibility of vehicle.

Lewd Act

Christopher Akers, 38, of Los Gatos, at the Santa Clara County Superior Court, 200 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for one misdemeanor related to disorderly conduct: solicitation of lewd act in public place.

Hit-And-Run

Yuke Choi, 59, of Sunnyvale, 8:10 am., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 West Younger Ave. in San Jose, for a misdemeanor citation related to a hit-and-run.

Battery

Al Silvas, 54, of Morgan Hill, 2:30 p.m., at the South Santa Clara County Courthouse at 301 Diana Ave. in Morgan Hill, for two misdemeanors related to battery and threatening to commit crime resulting in death, or criminal threats.

Petty Theft

Eric Topete, 20, of Mountain View, 2 p.m., at 270 Grant Ave. in Palo Alto, for one misdemeanor related to petty theft of personal property/larceny.

Under the Influence

  • Seth Mason, 30, of Campbell, 6 p.m., at Fruitdale Ave. in San Jose, for two misdemeanors related to resisting, delaying, obstructing a peace officer, being under the influence of alcohol/drugs/controlled substance and a felony parole hold.
  • Stefan Nepper, 36, of Cupertino, 8:32 p.m., at New Brunswick and Homestead Road in Cupertino, for two misdemeanors related to being under the influence of alcohol/drugs/controlled substance. Bail set at $9,500.
