Sheriff's Arrests: Oral Copulation with Minor, Reckless Burning

Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office's arrest and booking reports for July 11-12, 2012. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Oral Copulation With Minor

  • Marshal Hattori, 47, of Cupertino, July 12, 10:40 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse in Palo Alto, 270 Grant Ave., for felony oral copulation with a minor.

Under the Influence

  • Richard Sarallo, 44, of Sunnyvale, July 12, 1:30 a.m., at Lawrence Expressway and Pruneridge in Cupertino, for misdemeanor use/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $5,000.

Possession

  • Theodore Gonzales, 64, of Gilroy, July 11, 12:26 p.m., at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance. Bail set at $100,000.
  • William Winford, 20, of Campbell, July 11, 3:30 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse at 115 Terraine in San Jose, for felony possession of marijuana/hash for sale. Bail set at $20,000.
  • Ricardo Vidales, 19, of San Jose, June 6, 1:20 a.m., at Saratoga and Bellgrove in Saratoga, for misdemeanor possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.
  • Coleen Mitchell, 51, of Milpitas, July 12, 9:50 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Court at 115 Terraine, Dept. 65, for felony transporting, selling, furnishing controlled substance, possession of controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
  • Stephen Bishop, 42, of Campbell, July 12, 11:30 a.m., at Campbell and Gilman avenues in Campbell, for misdemeanor failure to appear, possession of controlled substance/paraphernalia, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and infractions for failure to appear and driving without due caution.
  • Jeffrery Dupuis, 48, of Los Gatos, July 12, 11 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse, 115 Terraine in San Jose, for felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of controlled substance and using/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
  • Antionette Lopez, 50, of Milpitas, July 12, 11 a.m., at the San Jose Hall of Justice, 190 Hedding St. for felony possession of controlled substance and second-degree burglary.

Robbery/Burglary

  • Eddie Diaz, 41, of Gilroy, July 11, 3:30 p.m., at 10123 Wolfe Road in Cupertino, for misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and felony robbery and first-degree burglary.
  • David Fullerton, 32, of Milpitas, July 12, Santa Clara County Courthouse, 115 Terraine in San Jose, for misdemeanor buying/receiving stolen motor vehicle/trailer, possession of controlled substance, and felony inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant, transporting, selling, furnishing controlled substance and second-degree robbery.

Battery

  • Jose Santos, 34, of Gilroy, July 11, 8:15 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose, for misdemeanor battery against spouse, cohabitant or fiance.

Lodging Without Consent

  • Manuel Valdivia, 26, of Sunnyvale, May 20, 12:25 p.m., 11477 Lindy Place in Cupertino, for lodging without consent.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Edith Hernandez, 40, of Sunnyvale, June 20, 7:15 p.m., at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Vista in Cupertino, for having no stop lights, expired registration, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and unlawful registration.
  • Alexander Hill, 45, of Gilroy, May 29, 10:55 p.m., at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Long Meadow in Gilroy, for failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, exceeding 65 mph speed limit and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Ian Raymond, 32, of Cupertino, July 1, 7:15 p.m. at Stern Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, for expired registration, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Jee Chon, 29, of San Jose, July 1, 1:55 p.m., at Prospect Road and Titus Avenue in Saratoga, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.

Reckless Burning

  • Philip Tran, 23, of Saratoga, May 25, 11:04 a.m., at Haymeadow Drive and Lumbertown Lane in Saratoga, for misdemeanor unlawfully causing a fire of property.
  • Nicholas Marten, 45, of Los Altos, July 12, at the San Mateo County Jail, for misdemeanor inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant, trespassing by entering and occupying, causing fire of property and felony vandalism of more than $50,000.

Vandalism

  • Gabriel Pena, 18, of Gilroy, July 12, 1:15 a.m., at Santa Teresa Boulevard in Gilroy, for misdemeanor vandalism of less than $400. Bail set at $5,000.

Welfare Fraud

  • Francisco Garcia, 41, of Campbell, July 12, 11;22 a.m., at the San Jose Hall of Justice, 190 W. Hedding St., for felony fraud in obtaining AFDC and food stamps.

Challenge/Fight in Public Place

  • DeEandra Trujillo, 42, of San Jose, July 12, 8:30 p.m., at 12280 Pacheco Pass Highway in Gilroy, for misdemeanor challenging/fighting in public place.

I too was at this Challenge Day. It was my 6th. I first volunteered because I watched the programRead More on MTV "If You Really Knew Me" when my son was being severely bullied in middle school and saw the program was offered when he was a freshman in high school. My company strongly supports me volunteering for this and allows me to take the day off work to attend. I am continually humbled by what these teens share and saddened at what some of them have experienced in their short lives. This program is so valuable. I think every school should offer it and every parent should attend. It helps us to realize that we need to think twice before we judge or assume things about others when we know nothing about them. It is the volunteering opportunity that I look forward to participating in every year.
