Sierra LaMar Search Focused on San Martin and Gilroy

Human remain detection dogs and search and rescue units look for crime scenes and clues into disappearance of missing Morgan Hill teen.

Three specially trained dogs and about 20 search and rescue units will concentrate their efforts Thursday in the San Martin and Gilroy areas in the continuing search for missing Morgan Hill teen .

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office search and rescue unit will conduct another full-day search Thursday looking for possible crime scenes or evidence related to the whereabouts of the 15-year-old Sobrato High School cheerleader who has been missing since March 16.

Local and federal law enforcement and volunteers have racked up more than 6,000 man hours in the search, and more than 1,000 email and phone tips have come in. Police continue to follow up on every piece of information into the disappearance of the abduction of Sierra.
