Third Party Not Involved in Deaths on Westacres Drive

So far, no identities, no cause of death for the middle-aged couple found dead Saturday.

Evidence points to no suspects in the death of the couple whose bodies were found in the 10300 block of Saturday afternoon, an official said.

"An investigator on the case I spoke with about 30 minutes ago says we don’t believe there was third person involved," says Sgt. Jose Cardoza, a Santa Clara County Sheriff's spokesman. "We are not looking for suspects."

The identities of the couple have not been released and the next of kin has not identified the bodies yet, Cardoza said. If no one identifies the man and woman, reported to be in their 50s, the coroner's office will conduct a fingerprint ID, he said.

Officials are calling an anonymous call to the police at about 2:30 p.m. April 9 a generic, "suspicious circumstances" call. It sent deputies to a home on Westacres Drive between Cheryl and Shelly drives, where they found the bodies of the man and the woman.

The neighborhood is off of McClellan Road near Stelling Road.

There were no shots reported or reports of yelling or any other kind of disturbance with the call that alerted police to check the residence, Cardoza said.

The cause of death has yet to be determined on either body, he said, and investigators are awaiting the coroner's office for a preliminary autopsy report.
