UPDATE: ID Released of Sunnyvale Woman Who Died in I-280 Crash

Officials release the name of the 72-year-old woman who crashed her car into the back of a parked truck on the freeway Tuesday.

The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office said the name of the woman who died after her car slammed into the rear of a truck on I-280 Tuesday is Sixta Garcia.

Investigators believe Garcia was traveling at about 65 miles per hour when she swerved into the lane next to her, lost control of her vehicle then quickly angled right. Police believe she was at first trying to avoid stalled traffic in front of her.

It was the second truck that Garcia's 1991 Buick Regal smashed into on the side of the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither truck driver was injured.

The initial accident was reported at about 11:05 a.m. and the right lanes of the road were closed until about 2 p.m., CHP Officer D.J. Sarabia said.
