Citizen of the Year Files to Run for Office
Cupertino's Donna Austin plans to run for Cupertino City Council.
Donna Austin, one of Cupertino's Citizens of the Year, filed papers and announced her intention to run for City Council.
Austin is the editor of The C Magazine (which is published by Ruby Elbogen, who was a columnist for Cupertino Patch) and also a recipient of numerous awards, including the City's CREST (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken) award.
Among her listed community involvement, she's served on the city's Planning Commission and the Cupertino Library Foundation. She's also a member of Quota International and was a longtime educator.
