Mayor Orders Council to Get Tattoos

To prove just how much they love Cupertino, Mayor Orrin Mahoney and the City Council got tattoos that say "I (heart) Cupertino".

OK, so maybe they're not real tattoos, but Mayor Orrin Mahoney felt compelled to do something to compete with last year's State of the City address by then-mayor Mark Santoro who was juggling balls, not budgets or laws.

Mahoney began his speech by talking about a book he read, For the Love of Cities, which mentions loving and marrying your city. It also mentions tattoos, or so he says.

The quick video will explain more, and Cupertino Patch will have more on the State of the City address later.
