Paul Fong Commends 'Top High Schools' in Dist. 28

Assemblyman presents certificates of recognition to Lynbrook, Monta Vista, Cupertino, Los Gatos and Saratoga high schools ranked as California's 'Top 100' the U.S. News & World Report magazine.

 

Perhaps it is something of a privilege it is to serve in a state Assembly district that has five, count 'em five, top 100 schools in California, according to the recent annual ranking by U.S. News & World Report.

And certainly it makes everyone happy to get another round of recoginition, which is what state Assemblymember Paul Fong (D-Cupertino) did May 3. Fong made visits to Monta Vista High School (ranked 16th), Lynbrook (19th), Saratoga (22nd), and Cupertino (62nd), presenting a Certificate of Recognition to each Los Gatos High School (86th), will be visited at a later date.

"I'm very proud to represent these high schools and commend them for this remarkable achievement," Fong said in a prepared statement. He added that the schools had demonstrated the ability to provide a high quality education for all students, and student achievement had been such that the schools qualified for the prestigious.

The 28th Assembly District includes the cities and communities of Burbank, Cambrian Park, Campbell, Cupertino, Fruitdale, Lexington Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Saratoga.
