Pipeline Safety Status Report on Thursday

Public officials to meet with PG&E, CPUC about pipeline explosions like the August explosion at a Cupertino condo and the deadly 2010 San Bruno explosion.

Political leaders from around the Peninsula will be in Palo Alto Thursday to hear PG&E and California Public Utilities Commission officials provide status reports on steps they have taken to improve pipeline safety.

Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo) is hosting the forum with Assemblymen Richard Gordon (D-Menlo Park) and Paul Fong (D-Cupertino).

PG&E and CPUC representatives will provide status reports on intiatives throughout the Peninsula that have been launched to improve safety in local communities since the  and last year’s explosion at a Cupertino condo complex.
