Correction: CUSD Public Hearing on Impact Fees

School District's Tuesday public hearing will consider an increase to impact fees.

Cupertino Union School District is holding a public meeting Tuesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. to consider the adoption of a resolution to increase impact fees.

The district is allowed to levy impact fees on property owners when they upgrade homes to increase square footage. The meeting will consider raising the fee to the increased level recently approved by the state. The fee is intended to offset any potential student impact on the district, said district spokesman Jeremy Nishihara.

An earlier article stated erroneously that the district’s public hearing was to consider a bond measure, which was already approved and will appear on the June ballot. We apologize for the confusion.
