Cupertino School District Holds Open House Tuesday Afternoon
The district will have tours of the offices, which include the superintendent's office, student assignment and pupil services, among others
Cupertino Union School District, which recently left its longtime Cupertino home to make way for improvements at Lawson Middle School is holding an open house Tuesday afternoon at its new offices in Sunnyvale.
The district will offer group tours of its offices at 1309 S. Mary Ave. in Sunnyvale and have light refreshments, 4:30 to 6 p.m.
The administrative office was relocated during the week of spring break, as part of the first phase of the plan to accommodate the growing enrollment of middle school students in the district . The Lawson Middle School campus will be expanded, starting the summer of 2013.
The Mary Avenue offices will house the following departments: Superintendent’s Office, Business Services, Duplicating Services, Human Resources and Payroll, Instruction Department, Special Education, Pupil Services, and Student Assignment.
The District’s mailing address will remain the same at 10301 Vista Drive, Cupertino, CA 95014.
The District’s Operations Center will also remain at the 10301 Vista Drive address. Those functions include: Maintenance/Grounds, Operations, Security, Transportation, Bus Yard, Garage, Warehouse, Mail Room, Purchasing, Receiving, Student Nutrition, Facility Modernization, IT Department, Property Office, and Energy Management.
