As if a $100,000 college scholarship weren’t enough of an award from the Siemens Competition, Cupertino’s own rang The Closing BellSM of the New York Stock Exchange Thursday, Jan. 26.
Angela, who won grand prize for an individual contestant for her research in a nanosystem cancer killing project, was joined by grand prize team winners, Ziyuan Liu and Cassee Cain from Tennessee, as they closed the day’s trading in New York City.
The Siemens Competition for Math, Science and Technology presented Angela, 17, a senior at Monta Vista High School, with the award in December.
