Sam's Chowder House Opening Monday in Palo Alto

Restaurant's Lobster Roll honored as one of best five sandwiches in America.

Sam’s Chowder House, a well-respected coastside seafood dining spot, is expanding inland. The restaurant will open its second location on University Avenue in Palo Alto on Monday.

The Half Moon Bay seafood restaurant, which opened its oceanview restaurant at Pillar Point Harbor in 2006, will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week at 185 University Ave. (at Emerson).

The new Sam's Chowder House will aim to continue what its known for: providing a casual and authentic seafood experience reminiscent of a New England style seafood house.
