The convenience store will celebrates its birthday Wednesday by giving away its signature frozen drinks for free.

7-Eleven Day is Wednesday, and that means one thing—free Slurpees for everyone!

The convenience store chain is celebrating its birthday as it does every year, by giving away one free 7.11-ounce Slurpee to each customer who asks anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Three nearby 7-11's include 21490 McClellan Rd., 21220 Homestead Rd., and 90 Stern Ave. in San Jose.

This year marks the 85th anniversary of the company and the 45th anniversary of the creation of the Slurpee itself.

“This year we expect to give away seven million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before, beating last year’s offer by two million," said Joe DePinto, 7-11 president and CEO, in a statement on the company's Web site.

The company has also created downloadable birthday attire—tiny bowties, hair bows and party hats—for folks who want to dress for the occasion.

If you've got your heart set on a free icy drink, don't wait too long to stop by; the offer is good only as long as supplies last.
