All American veterans who fought in the Korean War, from June 30, 1950 to July 27, 1953 are invited to attend. The veterans will receive a plaque from the group. There will be entertainment, as well.

Each year the group raises money from those who would like to help sponsor the luncheon. A couple of years ago, in the depth of the recession, the blog Mygripe An Thing described how "a small army of elderly Koreans knocks on the doors of Silicon Valley noodle houses, doctors’ offices and Asian markets looking to drum up some cash ... not for their community ... but to thank American veterans" and how difficult it was getting. It quoted veterans who attended.

But they've persevered. In 2010 it was held at the Sunnyvale Community Center, and last year at the New Vision Church in Milpitas. The senior citizens league asked interested donors to make a check payable to Korean American Senior Citizens League of Santa Clara County and mail to 3707 Williams Road, San Jose, CA 95117
