This is just more BS in the Sex Offender Witch Hunt. The criminal regime responsible for arrestingRead More this person needs to be sued into bankruptcy. Any real American who opposes big government needs to work as hard as possible to limit the amount of money and other resources that they have. The less they have, the less able they are to commit crimes. I would also like to point out that the people who support the panacea Sex Offender Registries (SORs) and resulting BS such as this have STILL miserably failed to get the rest of their Registries created. They don't even have Registries for people who gravely harm children. I will give them a hint about where to start - how about Registering people who shoot children? The people who support the SORs and the BS that they have enabled and promoted obviously don't care that people who have shot children are at schools. They don't care about people who harm children or anyone else - unless it involves sex. The SORs are not REALLY for "public safety", "protecting children", or any of those other lies. They are for harassment.

Rod, your commentary is not totally correct. You say that those who support public registries don'tRead More care about people who harm others unless it involves sex. They don't care about children who are harmed even involving sex unless they are harmed by someone who is on a registry. Well over 90% of sexually assaulted children are harmed by those who aren't on any registry, those in their lives, e.g., family members, peers, and authority figures. There is no hue and cry to spend more money--actually, any money--on education and prevention programs that could make a huge difference to those children. Nope, if Cousin Billy molests Sally, we shut our eyes and pretend it doesn't happen and then look at registered sex offenders, who commit no more than 1% of sexual crime against children, and scream to spend more money monitoring them in order to save the children.

Shelly: You are exactly right and I've seen you say this same thing many times.Read More -------------------------------------- I refer to the people who support the Sex Offender Registries (SORs) as Registry Terrorists (RTs). What you said is just a perfect example of how hypocritical and lazy the RTs are. Actually protecting children is just not glamorous or fun for them. And they certainly don't want to commit much money or effort to it. They have been endlessly gutting DFCS in the state where I live and are currently debating privatizing it. DFCS is just a waste of money to them. -------------------------------------- Actually protecting children takes work. It is SO much easier just to harass a family about where they live or to jail someone because they didn't report an e-mail address to big government quickly enough. And THAT is what appeases the stupid masses and makes them feel better. -------------------------------------- And as another example of just how hypocritical and lazy the RTs are, if the SORs are so wonderful, there are no excuses not to have so many other Registries. They don't even Register people who shoot other people! RTs say they "have a right to know" about "sex offenders" living near their goodness. They don't. If they did, I would have a right to know about all people who harm other people who live near me. I would certainly have a right to know about people living near me who have shot children. -------------------------------------- I personally think the SORs are idiotic social policy. I think that not only do they not prevent sex crimes but they lead to more being committed and certainly to more crimes in general being committed. Experts have never supported the Registries. Americans have never supported the Registries. But the ignorant, hateful majority of U.S. citizens do. And OF COURSE, pandering politicians and big government law enforcement do. It doesn't matter how useless and counterproductive the Registries are, they will never be big or smart enough to admit it.

Leaving all accusations of guilt aside, I see this ruling as an erosion of the legal definition of aRead More minor. In essence now, a high school kid or maybe even a middle school kid could be tried like an adult under this ruling. I do not think the courts have thought this through. And just for the sake of argument, where does the real responsibility lie? The drinker? The server (who maybe not be experienced enough to judge someones intoxication level) or the manufacturers and advertisers who promote drinking to the teen/college demographic? If minors are going to be treated as adults in the courts then they should be given the full rights of an adult!

oh yes ,but the under folks ,kids or what ever knows that you are not to drink booze til you are atRead More the age of 21. but i guess the kid could drink and driv e and kill some one and he or she can get away with it . that is wrong . if you are under age and you know it so what grow up and pay the price . the ones that charge you a fee or ask for a donation is still charging you a fee they should go to jail if you hurt or kill some one . time for the under age to grow up or send you to a nut hospital til you understand what you did is wrong and now you grow up fast if you wantout of the nut hospital you got to tell the courts why you were so dumb .

"....where have you been the last two days...." Uh, following the story, Ken. Yeah, iRead More heard all that, that you're talking about. What i HAVEN'T heard or seen is that "the report of kidnap came from them" that, supposedly, was "on the news today and all day". I asked a question of "reference" around 4 hours ago, and as yet haven't received an answer. From either April or anyone else who saw/read that "the report of kidnap came from them".

One of the fastest way to defeat telephone scams is to have Caller ID and voice messaging installedRead More on your phone land line and have a phone that displays the party calling you. The simple rule of thumb is this, if you don't recognize either the phone number or the party calling you, have it go to voice mail. Should you answer the phone in a moment of forgetfulness and start hearing a strange sales pitch or request, just forget courtesy and hang up.
