CEEF works closely with the school district to support educational excellence. The organization follows a university endowment model to support music, art information technology. Long-term funding for educational programs is the main objective of the organization in the Cupertino Union School District which includes, in addition to the city of Cupertino, portions of Saratoga, San Jose, Los Altos, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. CEEF celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2004 with a 6 million campaign to create a new endowment for music, art and information technology.
